We have been here before. I have had their fried green tomatoes. They needed a little bit more of flavor but it was good. My husband got the skirt steak skillet, that was a bit more flavorful. I more than likely will not get the green fried tomatoes again. I also had drank an espresso with maple bourbon! so delicious! On the other hand, today, I got the Alabama Benny and my husband got the Butcher block. Both were delicious. The Alabama benny is sweet but has their special biscuits as the bottom. Good sweet bbq sauce, sweet pickles, it is just delicious. The butcher block is basically meat gravy and biscuits without the biscuits. That is literally the flavor I got in my mouth. I wanted to order a flight of mimosas or a spritzer but I just had a party last weekend and not feeling alcohol right now. Will definitely do it next time I come and give a review on the mimosa flight and spritzer! We sat outside which was nice because it was quiet. The restaurant was packed so we did not want to deal with the noise today. (ugh I am getting old). Enjoy!

We decided to give Buttermilk a try since we’re not from the area and it looked so inviting—and we’re so thankful we did! The service was top-notch; Fabian was incredibly attentive and helpful. The food? Absolute chef’s kiss—hands down one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. If you're in the area and looking for delicious food and phenomenal service, this is where you want to go! We’ll definitely be making it a point to return any time we’re visiting Illinois!

Excellent restaurant for breakfast! Greeted and seated immediately. Menu options are very broad. We ordered Chicken and Biscuits and a Wilbur Skillet. The chicken plate had a HUGE amount of food. Both selections were delicious. Our server, Quetzalli, was very helpful, attentive and just awesome!

Great breakfast/brunch! Food is good and there's TONS of options - prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. There can be a bit of a wait, so get on the waitlist 30 mins before you arrive.

This place was PHENOMENAL! Everything was absolutely perfect! The food was so amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. It’s a kid-friendly establishment. My asd toddler even enjoyed his food, which says a lot!! We will have to drive up from Iowa more often just to eat here! 10/10! ⭐

This place opens up early for those who are early birds. Very generously portioned dishes, and coffee is in the pot on your table so you don’t have to ask for refill when you want more. Even though this spot is a bit pricey it gets crowded towards 9 am. If you are the lover of peace and quiet, come early.
